THE INAUGURAL COMEDY CENTRAL INTERNATIONAL COMEDY FESTIVAL BROUGHT TO YOU BY SAVANNA BRINGS TOGETHER THE BEST TALENT FROM THE AFRICAN CONTINENT WITH INTERNATIONAL APPEARANCES BRINGING THEIR BRAND OF COMEDY TO SOUTH AFRICAN SHORES FOR THE FIRST TIME. SET TO BECOME AN ANNUAL CORNERSTONE TO THE AFRICAN COMEDY SCENE, THE FESTIVAL WILL HONOUR THE BEST IN STAND-UP.
ON THE INTERNATIONAL SIDE, TREVOR NOAH OPENS THE FESTIVAL WITH A TRIUMPHANT RETURN TO SOUTH AFRICA, HIS FIRST TIME HOME SINCE THE SUCCESSFUL RELAUNCH OF THE DAILY SHOW. THEN THINGS HEAT UP AS ROAST LEGEND JEFF ROSS BRINGS A FORMAT NEVER SEEN BEFORE IN AFRICA. AS COMEDIAN STEPS UP TO ROAST COMEDIAN, IT WILL BE TAKE NO PRISONERS AT THE ROAST GALA, AND IF YOU GET A SEAT CLOSE ENOUGH, EVEN YOU MAY GET SINGED. HANNIBAL BURESS AND ARIES SPEARS CLOSE OUT THE INTERNATIONAL TALENT LIST AT A GALA PERFORMANCE THAT WILL INCLUDE LOCAL HEAVYWEIGHTS MARC LOTTERING, TATS NKONZO AND EUGENE KHOZA.

ESTABLISHED OUTFITS WITHIN THE SOUTH AFRICAN COMEDY SCENE SUCH AS THE GOLIATHS, CAPE TOWN COMEDY CLUB, COMEDY & MAGIC AND KINGS AND QUEENS OF COMEDY FIND A PLATFORM ALONGSIDE MORE UP-AND-COMING VOICES FEATURED IN 'THE FUTURE' AND THE OPEN MIC SESSION 'GRAB THE MIC'.
